Weight Loss Health Benefits with no liposuction

While many people in the United Kingdom will chose to slim down and lose those extra pounds for egotistical reasons; the majority of people will shed those extra pounds for health reasons.  An alarming amount of people are choosing to have invasive surgeries due to the fact that dieting and exercising hasn’t worked.  As the pounds mount on each week, people are more and more looking to weight loss alternatives with no liposuction.

Weight loss benefits are in the hundreds and followers of longevity and the right to live will tell you that the more you are overweight the worst it is.  An ideal BMI is between 18-24 with 25 being considered overweight and 30 being obese.  Well what about people with BMI of 40 or more?  Not only do they want to lose weight, but they also want to reduce their wasit size.  Now is the time to lose weight to avoid some very major disease such as:

Diabetes – In October of 2009, it was reported that more than 2.6 million people in the UK have diabetes and that is 145,000 more than last year.  It is rising at an incredible rate.  Type 2 diabetes is caused by lifestyle in 90% of the cases.  In over words it is preventable. There is no cure for type 2 diabetes, but by making healthy lifestyle choices you can prevent the disease entirely or at least delay its onset.

Hypertension – High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is a quick killer.  It can increase very quickly and most doctors name this as the number three preventable disease.  Smoking and second hand smoking are numbers one and two for preventable deaths. Approximately 10 million people in the UK have high blood pressure.  That is approximately one person out of every 5.  If this condition develops, a person becomes more at risk to suffer strokes, heart attack, heart failure, retinal damage and other issues. Reduction of weight is the number one way to reduce blood pressure along with giving up salt, coffee, alcohol and avoiding stress.

High Cholesterol – Also known as hypercholesterolemia, is almost always caused by diet and fats consumed daily.  The best way to reduce cholesterol to healthy levels is by diet and avoidance of unhealthy fats.  Following a Mediterranean diet is suggested using cold pressed olive oils and avoiding all hydrogenated oils and butter.  High cholesterol over 200 can lead to arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arterial blood vessels). Many people do not realize they have high cholesterol until it is too late. Some have died as soon as one hour after the first symptom of arteriosclerosis appeared.

Osteoarthritis – Osteoarthritis is caused by many reasons and being obese is one of them.  Some of the other reasons are: age, genetics, sex, using the joint too much and a prior injury.  As you can see some things cannot be changed but the one thing that can be changed is weight problems.  By losing the excess weight, you stand a large chance of preventing and avoiding this serious condition.  If nothing is done to change the lifestyle of the individual, a life of pain which can become debilitating, will be the prognosis of most.

Cancer – Cancer, a deadly disease, has seen many causes of this dreaded disease, but none more prevalent than being over weight.  In many cancer studies, the main causes are seen as diet, lifestyle and being obese.  Most cancer diets emphasize a raw vegetarian lifestyle with no meats and lots of juicing, as in the Max Gerson diet.  Losing weight is imperative and eating healthy your entire life to avoid having to do gastric bi-pass surgery.

Studies show that those with excessive weight have a higher risk of developing abnormal cell growths on the colon, esophagus, kidneys, prostate breasts and other parts of the body. The reason for this is not 100% clear; however, it is believed to be linked to the increased toxin levels in the bodies of obese UK residents.

Besides trying to be healthy through diet, it is imperative to start an exercise program.  Start gradually and increase as you go.  Once you see the results and feel more attractive, your confidence level with skyrocket and your motivation levels will increase.  Read as much as you can about obesity statistics and the effects of excessive weight in the UK. These facts can be shocking at times, but the more you know, the better prepared you will be to take care of your body.
