Acai – is it really a wonder fruit?

Could it be that Acai is an acceptable liposuction alternative?

The acai berry has come to popularity lately with many top vegan practitioners, such as David Wolfe and with many doctors also, such as Dr. Perricone.  Dr. Perricone is famous for his skin diets and treatments.  It should be noted that Dr. Perricone sells a product called Super Berry Powder with Acai.  Dr. Perricone was one of the first to report the many benefits of this miraculous berry and he was recognized by the New York Times and Oprah as being in the forefront of knowledge for the acai berry.

The acai berry
will start to deteriorate after 24 hours so only the residents of the Amazon Rain Forest can enjoy the berry in its fresh state, but it still needs to be processed.  The good news is that the frozen berry and the juice still maintain the vitamins and nutrients.  The acai berry has been processed into many forms such as super powder, supplements and frozen berry forms.  Even the seed itself is ground and used on plants.

According to David Wolfe (vegan expert) “Regular intake could decrease incidence of stroke, cancer, heart attack, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s diseases. It also increases metabolic rate which is ideal for those who wish to lose weight or simply manage their diet.”  Wolfe goes on to say, “It also promotes stronger bones, stability in mental health, oxygenates blood, and improves eye sight. Another interesting benefit of the product is its aphrodisiac property. It improves sexual performance and endurance.”

It is no wonder that many are rushing to stock up on the juice and super powder of this miraculous fruit.  But buyers beware, as many companies are making inferior products and the consumer is the one who is losing out.  Look for a good quality product that can be verified.
While the acai berry is one form of diet plan, and may be a viable lipo alternative, that does not mean you should stop your research with this plan only. Read more »

Reasons to Consider Liposuction Alternatives

Your health is the main reason to consider liposuction alternatives. Don't take unnecessary chances with your health just to look good.

As long as there is food there will be overweight and out of shape people who mistakenly thought they could keep their weight in check.  Funny how the pounds creep up slowly and then take forever to take off.  Do you realize how much 3500 calories is?  That is how much you have to give up to lose one pound.  Ever look at the exercise schedule to see how much exercise you need to do to lose one pound?

  • Running in place for one hour = 477 calories
  • Doing aerobic exercises for one hour = 354 calories
  • Stationary Bicycle at moderate exertion for one hour = 419 calories

Raking the lawn for one hour = 277 calories

Now take 3500 calories and divide by the above exercises and you will see that you need to do a lot of exercises to take off those few days of guilt eating.  With those excess calories in mind and a limited pocketbook, you too will look for liposuction alternatives.  A typical liposuction procedure can cost from $2600 to $12,000 (depending if multiple sections are worked on).  With many looking and wanting to have the procedures in the hospital, which is not covered by insurance policies, more and more are looking for safer, cheaper and less recovery times with lipoalternatives.

Liposuction procedures do have a high rate of complications and death.  19 out of 100,000 procedures will end in death. People dying in car accidents are only 16.1 per 100,000 so are you really ready to go under the knife today?  No, I did not think so.  So with lipoalternatives having a zero death ratio, more are looking to this safer alternative.

Body Wraps as a Liposuction Alternative?

Useful ingredients to add to your body wrap

The body wrap produces a number of therapeutic and cosmetic benefits for those seeking natural alternatives to weight loss in the United Kingdom. The ideal of body wraps is to remove toxins from the body and thus make you look both younger and healthier.  It will clean the skin, restore minerals, soften the skin and reduce minor joint pains.  Many spas will do these body wraps, which typically last one hour for around $40, but you can do them in the comfort of your home for a fraction of the cost.  Before attempting to do a body wrap, you must take a warm shower before the procedure, to open the pores up.   Remember that these results are temporary and that you may want to explore other liposuction alternatives.

Body wraps will help you to lose the weight and inches, but it should be noted that this reduction will be temporary and then the at home treatment will need to be redone. Body wraps are great for both men and women and thankfully body wraps are simple enough to do that even a teenager can apply them. A simple yet good way to start the base of a wrap is with a mixture of clay and natural sea salts. Once you get the base down, you can add more natural ingredients like herbs and essential oils.

Here’s a list of recommended herbs and herbal extracts:
•    Lemon thyme
•    Alfalfa leaf powder
•    Rose hip powder, rose petal powder
•    Dried chamomile flowers
•    Ground basil

Here’s a list of recommended Essential Oils:
