Avoid Liposuction Fears with Lipo Alternatives

Fear is a word we all live with whether it is the fear of elevators or the fear of an elective surgery such as liposuction.  Why is liposuction so scary? What are the true facts involved with liposuction procedures?  The truth is liposuction does have a real danger for death.  19 out of every 100,000 procedures will end in death.  That is 3 more than will die in a car accident.  Now that is scary.  25% of all liposuction procedures will have complications and 7% will be major.

These fears are something that should be taken very seriously, by the patient, surgeon, and post-surgery support individuals. Although you are positive that you will not be one of the 19 that die, are you so sure you will not be one of those with permanent disfigurements?  Some are left with lumping stomach effects that make you look fatter or an infection so bad that you will need a second or third operation.

Most fears of liposuction can be limited by choosing a hospital, doctor or clinic based on experience rather than money.  Choosing a doctor that is the cheapest may just cause you to have more side effects and complications and end up costing you more than the best doctor in Europe.  Common sense should play a major part in whatever decision you make.

Any surgery is dangerous where you go under general anesthesia.  It is better to choose a clinic or doctor who will use a local anesthesia and not too many procedures at once. Statistics have shown us that these are the reasons for the most mistakes or complications involving liposuction procedures.

The fear of bad results is very present in just about anyone who has ever considered undergoing liposuction. There is minimal guarantee for patients that the results they see six months after surgery are going to be what they expected in the beginning. Being such an expensive service, it is only natural that patients fear that they could be paying thousands of dollars to end up with their body being sculpted into a less than desirable shape.

Yes, it is normal to have fears, but then if you are going to contemplate the truth here, then it must be stated that there are alternative to liposuction, such as eating correctly and changing your lifestyle.  Walking an hour a day or jumping on a trampoline to increase lymph flow with help you to be healthy and in good shape.  But many in the end will prefer to go the easy route of having a cosmetic procedure done.

Do you know the Alternatives to liposuction

The alternatives to liposuction are popular due to the high demand of those wanting to avoid more invasive surgical methods. Liposuction is an elective surgery that comes with many complications and possible death.  It has been compared to car accidents with car accidents having a lower ratio per 100,000.  These are scary numbers to contemplate.

The risk involved may include perforation of major organs, infections, scarring, cardiac problems and more.  It also comes with a pretty hefty price tag compared to lipoalternatives. Some types of liposuction without surgery can also be less expensive. If you are wondering how much liposuction in the UK is you may have to prepare for the worst. Cheap liposuction in the UK may not be possible to find. The cheapest liposuction in the UK can run around £1550 but can cost well above £5000.

Lipo alternatives – Injection Lipolysis

Injection lipolysis is a lipoalternative in which drug mixtures are injected into patients to remove and melt the fat down.  Injection lipolysis is also known as Lipodissolve and mesotherapy.  Lipodissolve is less painful than mesotherapy, but both have side effects.  Lipodissolve is the newest procedure to be introduced here in the US, but it has been used for a long time in Europe.  Mesotherapy has more side effects than Lipodissolve does.

Lipodissolve:

Lipodissolve is a non-invasive procedure that is safer than liposuction and is an effective way to remove fat deposits and eliminate cellulite.  This wonderful lipoalternative is not only a great alternative to plastic surgery, but it is one of the only proven ways of eliminating the fat forever, since it completely destroys the fat cells.  It should be noted that it does eliminate the fat as long as the person does not gain the weight back again.  This can be handled by eating a healthy diet and exercising.

After the procedure there may be soreness, swelling, bruising and temporary lumps.  Many clinics will suggest the use of compression garments to keep the swelling down and prevent pain.  It usually takes around two months to see the end results of the treatments. Procedures similar to Lipodissolve include mesotherapy, lipolysis injection lipolysis and /or lipostabil. Some of these treatments are virtually identical to Lipodissolve. Like this procedure, many are not FDA-approved, but are legal and often very effective.

Mesotherapy:

Mesotherapy is more painful than Lipodissolve and due to many patients having a low threshold of pain, a non-needle mesotherapy was developed.  The original mesotherapy was developed 50 years ago in France and it has been used in Europe successfully.  Many patients were dropping out of the therapy due to the pain involved, so a no-needle method was developed recently.
