Avoid Liposuction as a weight loss alternative

It is important for an individual to meticulously analyze his or her situation, do some research about the process, and analyze if weight loss surgery is the ultimate choice for his or her physiological condition. If not, it might be time to consider alternatives to liposuction.

Why risk liposuction? Regardless of what you are being told, it is still a dangerous procedure causing death in some cases.  Losing weight is very difficult and anyone who has ever been grossly overweight or even 30 pounds overweight will tell you that it is so difficult that they prefer to have their big toe cut off instead.  Eating can be an addiction in many cases and to be told you can no longer eat again all those wonderful and delicious cakes and pastries is excruciating and yes agonizing.  It is not that you can’t give it up; it is this little devil inside saying, “Eat something, eat something.”

More and internet ads and television commercials are advertising liposuction and how the pounds will just drop off in a few hours without any effort and without any hospital stay.  They will show the before and after effects and then have a flashing number to get you to run off and have the liposuction procedure done TODAY!  Stop and think first.  Major bypass stomach surgery has fewer side effects than liposuction does.  There are alternatives to the highly dangerous liposuction procedure including acupuncture, mesotherapy and Lipodissolve.

Surgery at Present
The greatest progress in the care of the surgical patient has taken place since the beginning of the present century. An increasing knowledge of various diseases and disorders as a result of research have permitted the development of aids that can result in you being able to successfully shed pounds without liposuction.

Weight Loss Plateau battles

Weight loss plateaus are very frustrating - they can completely throw you off your diet as well.

Weight Loss Plateau

A weight loss plateau will occur to every dieter at some point due to the fact that the body wants to avoid starvation.  The body will automatically kick in to a response to avoid any danger it perceives and yes you can say your body does not like diets. The body being the perfect instrument it is has a mechanism to maintain an equal balance concerning the energy output and the calorie reduction.  This process is called equilibrium (homeostasis).  This is the one thing that will cause more dieters to reach for the yellow pages and consider liposuction which can be avoided as a remedy for a weight loss plateau.  Weight loss plateaus can be easily remedied by following these simple suggestions:

Recognize the fact that you most likely will experience a plateau and prepare for it.
No matter how often Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig warns you that you will face a weight loss plateau when it arrives you are not prepared. Depression sets in and you will be tempted to reach for the Milky Way candy bar. Hey, if I am not losing weight, why not?  Funny enough one Weight Watcher who lost her weight suggests a pig out day.  She said religiously she went to Burger King every week and had a hamburger.  The eating of one hamburger a week kept her body in homeostasis and she was able always to lose 1-1/2 to 2 pounds a week.

Change  your routine.
Never have the same routine day in and day out.  Zig zag the routine and the meals.  Never eat at the same time day after day. Eat only when you are hungry.  By changing your routine to different kinds of aerobic and toning exercises, you can ensure that your muscles are receiving a variety of different workouts and prevent plateauing. Weight loss tends to slow down when the body recognizes that it should not actually be losing that weight – a reaction to repetitive behavior. Prevent this by keeping a wide variety of exercises and workouts on hand and taking part in them regularly.

Avoid Liposuction Fears with Lipo Alternatives

Fear is a word we all live with whether it is the fear of elevators or the fear of an elective surgery such as liposuction.  Why is liposuction so scary? What are the true facts involved with liposuction procedures?  The truth is liposuction does have a real danger for death.  19 out of every 100,000 procedures will end in death.  That is 3 more than will die in a car accident.  Now that is scary.  25% of all liposuction procedures will have complications and 7% will be major.

These fears are something that should be taken very seriously, by the patient, surgeon, and post-surgery support individuals. Although you are positive that you will not be one of the 19 that die, are you so sure you will not be one of those with permanent disfigurements?  Some are left with lumping stomach effects that make you look fatter or an infection so bad that you will need a second or third operation.

Most fears of liposuction can be limited by choosing a hospital, doctor or clinic based on experience rather than money.  Choosing a doctor that is the cheapest may just cause you to have more side effects and complications and end up costing you more than the best doctor in Europe.  Common sense should play a major part in whatever decision you make.

Any surgery is dangerous where you go under general anesthesia.  It is better to choose a clinic or doctor who will use a local anesthesia and not too many procedures at once. Statistics have shown us that these are the reasons for the most mistakes or complications involving liposuction procedures.

Cosmetic Surgery DisastersCelebrity bloopers here

The fear of bad results is very present in just about anyone who has ever considered undergoing liposuction. There is minimal guarantee for patients that the results they see six months after surgery are going to be what they expected in the beginning. Being such an expensive service, it is only natural that patients fear that they could be paying thousands of dollars to end up with their body being sculpted into a less than desirable shape.

Yes, it is normal to have fears, but then if you are going to contemplate the truth here, then it must be stated that there are alternative to liposuction, such as eating correctly and changing your lifestyle.  Walking an hour a day or jumping on a trampoline to increase lymph flow with help you to be healthy and in good shape.  But many in the end will prefer to go the easy route of having a cosmetic procedure done.
